Happy 22nd Birthday Sky Sky!

This weekend was Schuyler's birthday! She wasn't ready for a true Northup birthday - where you are entitled to anything you want, whenever you want it, from whoever is around to serve you (only if you follow the request with "its ma birfday!")

On the night before, we had a rockin crepe dinner with all the interns and a few friends. Homemade crepe mix was supplemented by ham, sausage, cheese, spinach, tomatoes and onions for dinner. For dessert - nutella, bananas, sugar, jam, etc. Soooo good! And for drinks, Schuyler's choice - mint mojitos. Crepe parties last a loooong time, cuz you have to make each one on the stove individually. So it was a long, super dinner.

Towards the end of dinner, we started dancing! I think part of the reason why it was so fun was that my ipod was used for music selection, so of course I loved all the songs. We took the dance party down to a room downstairs in the priory that had a ping pong table and played this awesome game. Everyone gets a paddle, and you line up in two lines on either end of the table. You hit the ball, then run to the line on the other side to hit the ball again. If you miss, you're out and you have to put your paddle on the table. If someone else hits your paddle, then you're back in! When you get down to just a few people, it's so fun cuz you have to run across to the other side super quick in order to get to the ball. Hooray!

Later on, our boss came running downstairs yelling "Fireworks!!!!" We all ran down to the lake, and sure enough, 30 feet away (on a platform in the lake) was the most AMAZING fireworks show ever! I guess it was the anniversary of one of the hotel owners, so they just shot off a little show. But it was super cool and close and a great surprise for Sky's b-day.

After more dancing and pinging, we jumped in the lake, as every good night in Talloires must end. The next day, for Sky's real birthday, we made her 2 apple tartes and nachos with salsa and guacamole. Yay!
