The Long Haul, the 4th, and the Sales

Well, I finally made it back to France - about 36 hours after I started and without my bags! My first flight was changed to 5 hours later than I thought, and each flight after that (NY to London, then London to Geneva) was either delayed or missed altogether! Oh well, I'm back and I'm super happy! We celebrated the 4th of July the night I got back with a good old fashioned bbq (well, hamburgers on the stove) and some ping pong. I had today off and we went into Annecy to hit up the amazing sales that are going on now. I got some sweet new stuff!

All of the high school kids are here - there are 30 of them, and most are really smart and/or cool. They're here for a 4 week intense IR and French immersion program. They stay with host families in the surrounding towns, and come to the priory for courses every day except Wednesdays. We had a day of crazy relay race game things on Friday, and we're heading on a hike on Monday. They're really cute! I had an amazing visit at home and I'm happy to be back in Talloires 'till September. My friend and I are planning a week-long journey to somewhere nearby at the end of the summer, so if you have any suggestions, let me know!
